Dmitry Zavidov was born on January 18th, 1986 to a family of a musician in the town of Sergiev Posad, Moscow region. Dmitry’s father played in various groups and bands in Sergiev Posad and passed his passion for drums to his son. Dmitry started to play at 14. His enthusiasm about music of Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd gave results very soon.
In 2007, when Dmitry was 21, his friend Ivan Mikhailov, a bass guitarist, passed him an invitation to join “Black Coffee” group. In 2007 as a member of “Black Coffee” Dmitry recorded his first live concert DVD.
In 2008 Dmitry received offers to play with E.S.T. group (E.S.T stands for Electro-Shock Therapy), which became famous after their performance at the hard rock music festival “Monsters of Rock” held in September 1991 in Tushino Airfield, Moscow.
During the years 2007 – 2009 Dmitry actively toured Russian and Ukrainian cities as the drummer of Black Coffee and of E.S.T.
In 2008 he played in two concerts of Black Coffee in Tel Aviv and Haifa, Israel.
In 2009 Sergey Mavrin, the ex. guitarist of the groups Black Coffee, Aria and Kipelov, invited Dmitry to join his group “Mavrin”!
In 2005, alongside with the artistic activity, Dmitry in co-operation with his father set up a recording studio named S.P.music. This studio performs not only recording, but also rents out concert equipment to musicians and installs equipment for concerts.
During the period 2007 – 2008 Dmitry got a diploma in sound engineering. Today he is a sound producer and a sound engineer for the groups, which make records at S.P. music studio.
In 2008 Dmitry worked as a sound producer and a drummer on a record of E.S.T. group’s single “Ballbreaker” (tribute to ACDC). In 2010 Dmitry recorded a disc “Neformat 2” with the group of Sergey Mavrin. He continues cooperation with Sergey Mavrin’s group till today.
